KMPS Event Technician
KMPS has an immediate opening for a P/T Event Technician. Responsibilities include managing and coordinating all technical needs for live station broadcasts, remotes and appearances and maintaining station vehicles. Must be a team play, love meeting people and be able to work evenings/weekends.
Job Requirements:
Past Broadcasting/Engineering work is preferred
Must be 21 or older
Excellent Driving record
Comfortable talking to and approaching KMPS listeners
Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours a week
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Promotion Department Intern
The KMPS Promotions & Marketing Department is looking for FUN and ENTHUSIASTIC college students for Office Internships. If you're interested in learning more about the radio industry, marketing and promotions from the inside and love working with people - we are interested in you!
Interns work with the promotion team to market the radio station and increase listener satisfaction. KMPS is a promotionally active station that can be seen all over at various events – especially during the summer and fall months. The Promotions Department is responsible for all the contests on KMPS. As an intern, you will be the first contact with prize winners, help in securing prizes for station giveaways, assist in promotion and marketing planning, attend station events including remotes, appearances and concerts and much more! Interns are also encouraged to learn about the radio station and how it works. From the sales department to the studio, we encourage you to soak in as much as you can while you're here! This is an unpaid internship and you must be able to receive college credit.

Must have a passion for marketing, promotions and/or radio

Promotion Assistant (Part Time)
The KMPS Promotions & Marketing Department is also looking for Promotion Assistants for part time work. We’re seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, fun and motivated individuals to join the KMPS Promotion Team. These are the country music lovin’ and excited people who we take on the road to concerts, community festivals, fairs, charity and sporting events and more! You will act as an ambassador for the Northwest’s favorite country music station for over 30 years as a part of the KMPS Promotion Team. As a part time position, hours may vary depending on event schedules and seasons. We need flexible people who can work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

CBS Radio Seattle National Sales Internship
Fall ’09 & Winter ’10 Interns
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to commit a minimum of 15 hours each week to the internship. Hours are flexible within the Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm work week. Candidates must be a junior or senior in college and receive academic credit for the work performed at the station. Internships are unpaid. Strong interest in radio and/or sales is preferred. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel a plus. Ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to communicate well with others, detail-oriented and interested in pursuing sales as a career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include but not limited to:
- Assisting National Sales Promotion Director and National Sales Coordinator in daily tasks
- Attending sales and promotion meetings
- Assisting with national sales promotions
- Fulfilling recaps for clients including writing recaps and obtaining airchecks
- Accompanying staff to on-site events
- Meeting with various station personnel to learn how radio works as a complete package
