USO Gala 2009
This year, over 27,000 service members have deployed from the Puget Sound region.
The USO Puget Sound Area is there for every troop member with a care package, touch of home, or the biggest gift of all – the words “thank you.”
KMPS invites you to support the USO Puget Sound Area. Join us, Oct. 9th along with country artist Mallary Hope for the 5-Star Gala at the Museum of Flight.
Help us make fundraising history this year. Join the online auction today at USOPSA.org. Your bid can make a trip to Cancun, an X-Box Halo, an amazing Alan Jackson Plaque by Fallen Warrior Artist, Michael Regan, MiMain Street shopping spree, mean a whole lot more.
We can’t put a price on our men and women in uniform.
In return, be there, with the USO.

As you know, the USO Center at Ft. Hood, Texas, is an integral part of the post's activities. During the shooting incident on November 5, the USO was locked down with 35 service members waiting inside until the all clear was announced. While our great staff was making them as comfortable as possible, plans were put into place to bring one of the Mobile USOs to the base to provide snacks, drinks and a place to relax for the troops and families. The USO is the only outside entity allowed on the scene, and we will continue to support the community in any way we can.
We have also set up a donations page on our website to collect funds to assist the organizations on the post that are helping with a range of services. People who wish to donate to this fund can go to www.uso.org to learn more. Every dollar collected in this campaign will support efforts at Ft. Hood.
On Saturday, November 7, the dignified transfer of the remains of those killed in the shooting will begin at Dover Air Base, Delaware. The USO has brought in additional staff to augment our center at Dover, and staff and volunteers at USO centers and chartered centers across the country will assist family members as they make their way to this very solemn event.
